LATEST NEWS

Thursday, November 5

The first flagship event of the PokerStars Open Aix-en-Provence festival — the €2,200 High Roller — wrapped up on Wednesday night (Nov 4), after 102 entrants produced a prize pool of €195,840.

Israel’s Gabi Livshitz emerged victorious and picked up €50,440 plus the trophy, beating Adil Kassou of France heads-up. The duel went on for 90 minutes before Livshitz, a regular on the PokerStars Live circuit, got the best of the French amateur.

The final table also included the latest PokerStars Open Main Event champion, Jason Wheeler (he won in Barcelona), as well as Ireland’s Dan Wilson, who enjoyed huge success during the WCOOP 2026 series.

This is Livshitz’s first major PokerStars trophy, but he’s come close before. He finished fourth in the 2019 EPT Prague Main Event, and picked up two Spadie trophies for side event wins at EPT Barcelona in 2014 and EPT Sochi (then known as the PokerStars Championship) in 2017. After this win in the south of France, he’s surpassed $3 million in career live earnings.
