About Adam McKola
Content creator, podcast host and now poker player. Adam McKola might be more well known for his broadcasting and social media influencing, but he’s been turning his attention to poker over the last couple of years, with impressive results.
He’s come a long way in a short space of time as a player after signing for PokerStars in 2022. Speaking at the 2023 Irish Open, Adam explained how his skills have been coming along ever since he “started from fresh and got the bug”, leading to some very strong cashes.
The most notable was at the UK & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Brighton Main Event, won by our very own Spraggy. Spraggy might have taken home the trophy, but Adam finished third and took home over £30,000 in prize money, which was an outstanding achievement for someone who described himself as a “complete noob” at the beginning of his poker journey.
Since then, he’s taken part in Main Events at several of our most prestigious tournaments, from the European Poker Tour (EPT) to the PokerStars Open. There’s no doubt his ability at the felt is going from strength to strength, so don’t be surprised to see those deep runs turn into wins soon.
