LUDCRIOUS LEONARD: Run a sub-three-hour marathon. Win an EPT Main Event title. Give up cookies forever. These are just a few suggestions of new goals Patrick “pads1161” Leonard could set himself, because on Saturday, he accomplished the goal he’s been working towards for the past decade: to become the greatest COOP player in PokerStars history. Leonard not only won two more SCOOP titles on Saturday, taking his series total to five and a record-setting 15 for his career, but he won them both in the same event: the 8-Game (#107). Leonard topped the 68-entry $530 High for $9,177, as well as the 264-entry $109 Medium for $5,089. Add those 15 SCOOPs to his 13 WCOOPs, and he leads everyone with 28 COOP titles.

THURSDAY, MARCH 19

FLERREHUVE’S FIRST: Mattsson. Ödeen. Åstedt. Sweden has produced some of SCOOP’s greatest players, but until Wednesday night, one of the country’s high-stakes crushers had yet to claim a title. That changed when “flerrehuve” broke through, capturing a maiden SCOOP victory in the $1K Super Tuesday (#93-H) for $35,684. Denied in the process was “Tapiscallé?”, who had been chasing a fifth win of the series. They had to settle for $27,781 for second place.

THREE NEW DOUBLE CHAMPS: Three new names have been added to our multiple champions list (see below). Ukraine’s “SerMaxPro” Ukraine topped the 38-entry $530 FL Badugi (#101-H) for their second of the year, denying Andre “premove” Skvortsov a series hat trick. They won $7,299 and already had a $530 HORSE title for $11,425.

And Slovenia’s “DanielNegroAno8” took down the $530 Turbo Fenomeno (#103-H) for $11,752, having already won a $530 Deep Stacks for $24,228. They now have three wins overall.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18

The Brazilian–who, with 12 titles, is the most successful Brazilian SCOOP player of all time–took down the $530 Deep Stack (#91-H), topping 196 entries and a final table that included runner-up “drew.derzh”, Niklas “Lena900” Astedt, and Bruno “great dant” Volkmann, to bank $19,838. Finally, Twitch streamer and high stakes pro Daniel “starwins :)” Petersen became a double champ in 2026 with victory in the $530 5-Max Hyper PKO (#90-H), topping 126 entries and banking $16,990 total. Petersen has three SCOOP titles overall.

MAIDEN WINNERS: Two Brits won their maiden SCOOP titles on Monday. Patrick ‘JaegsPL’ Lauber binked his first SCOOP in the $530 PLO Turbo PKO (#89-H) for $16,318 total, while Brandon “Tyrion2205” Sheils won the $109 medium edition for $6,631.

MONDAY, MARCH 16

LIVING LIKE A KING: Just last year, Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson enjoyed one of the greatest SCOOP series in history, winning five titles in a single campaign. But it’s taken no time at all for that record to be smashed. Albania’s “king153246” has now captured seven titles this series–and there are still nine more days of action. The king’s latest two wins came in the 36-entry $530 FLHE (#67-H) for $7,540 on Thursday, followed by the 194-entry $530 Mystery Bounty HR (#77-H) on Saturday for $12,994 total. We already knew this going in, but king153246 (who now has nine career titles) is simply a special talent. What more can you say?

14 FOR ÖDEEN: Another player who continues to amaze and add to their SCOOP Legacy is Sweden’s Jerry “Perrymejsen” Ödeen. He already had two wins this year heading into the weekend, but added two more trophies to the mantle, the first in the $55 PLO8 (#69-M) for $5,772, besting 673 entries, then the 1,138-entry $109 NLHE Deep Stacks (#73-M) for $18,286. Ödeen is now tied with Mattsson at the top of the Most Titles list on 14.

BEST MULTIPLE CHAMPS LIST IN COOP HISTORY?: Wow. The multiple champions list is busier than ever this year. Malta’s “Tapiscallé?” is up to four for the year (and their career), winning the $109 Thursday Thrill (#68-L) for $30,667 total, and the $55 NLHE Turbo PKO (#71-M) for $11,063 total. Brazil’s Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi is one ahead, taking down the $1K PLO (#74-H) for $25,853 to take his tally up to five for the year, and 11 overall.

QUICKFIRE HEADLINES:

  • Joao “Naza114” Vieira banked the biggest single score of the series, topping 35 elite entries in the $10K Thrill High Roller (#68-H) for $146,362, beating Enrico “WhaTisL0v3” Camosci heads up.
  • Speaking of Camosci, the Italian won the $1K Turbo PKO (#84-H) for $33,130. Remarkably, this is Camosci’s maiden SCOOP title.
  • Pavel “silentm0de” Plesuv won two titles over the weekend. The first came in the $1K Thursday Thrill (#68-M) for $48,025 total, then the $1K NLHE 6-Max (#70-H) for $28,101. He now has four titles overall.
  • Robin “Robinho” Ylitalo picked up his third career title in the $55 PLO (#74-L) for $5,960.
  • The mysterious “hello_totti” topped the $5K Titans (#81-H) for $87,885, besting 48 entries. This is totti’s fourth career title.
  • Christian “eisenhower1” Jeppsson won the second title of his career in the $530 7-Max Mystery Bounty (#83-H) for $24,450.
  • “Badbomen” is a double champ after winning the $109 PLO (#82-M) for $12,331. They’d already won a $22 PLO title earlier this series.

TWELVE FOR ÖDEEN: Jerry “Perrymejsen” Ödeen continues his ascent towards the top of the Most SCOOP Titles list. He’d already binked the $109 5-Card PLO PKO (#20-M) for $9,068 total earlier this series.

WE COULD BE HEROES: Andy “BowieEffect” Wilson captured his second career SCOOP title, and first since 2021, on Wednesday, topping the $1K Super Tuesday (#55-H) for $39,675. As you’d expect, the 197 entries came from some of the game’s best. But BowieEffect was the hero on the day.

LONG TIME COMING: Long-time grinder Markku “markovitus” Koplimaa has clinched his maiden SCOOP title, and he didn’t make it easy for himself. The Estonian had to battle through a whopping 6,170 entries in the $11 Super Tuesday (#55-L) to bank $8,599 and lifelong bragging rights. But finally, he’s on the board.

LEONARD SECURES RARE TRIPLE: They’re putting something in those Vancouver cookies (see his Instagram stories) because Patrick “pads1161” Leonard just can’t stop winning. For the third day in a row, we’re reporting that Leonard has won another SCOOP title, taking his career total up to 13–that’s joint second all-time. The Brit’s latest victory came in the 132-entry $215 FL 2-7 Triple Draw (#56-M) for $5,569–just a buy-in for a high roller like Leonard, but you know it’s not about the money for this guy.

¡AY, CARAMBA! SIMPSON WINS MAIDEN TITLE: From grassroots to the big leagues, Ian “Simpioni” Simpson has enjoyed a fantastic career, but a SCOOP title had always eluded him…until now. The Brit took down the $55 Deep Stacks, navigating through a 2,394-entry field to bank $17,592.

LONG LIVE THE KING: This is incredible stuff. Last year’s SCOOP was the year of Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson, who won a record-setting five titles in a single SCOOP series. But that record has been matched as Albania’s “king153246” picked up their fifth of the year on Tuesday, topping the $530 Turbo for (#53-H) for $13,292 total. The final table was loaded, featuring Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot, Niklas “Lena900” Astedt, and Patrick “pads1161” Leonard.

FOUR MORE DOUBLE CHAMPS: We’ve got four new names to add to our multiple champions list (see below). The most notable (i.e. the one we have a name for) is Andrey “Anjeyyy” Novak, who added a $1K Bounty Builder HR (#48-H) title and $38,807 to the $5K Thursday Thrill (#27-H) they’d already won ($77,595). Novak now has seven SCOOP titles overall. Elsewhere, Finland’s “Niv-Mizzet D” topped the $55 FL 2-7 Triple Draw for $3,407, having already won the $55 NL 5-Card Draw (#14-M) for $2,144. That takes them up to three titles overall. Their fellow Fin “texasilainen” won the $215 PLO PKO (#54-M) for $16,680, adding to the $530 5-Card PLO (#35-H) they’d already binked for $13,039, taking their career total up to four. And last but not least, Malta’s “Tapiscallé?” topped 99 entries in the $1K NLHE (#50-H) for $23,897, following a win in the $1K Bounty Builder HR for $34,695 total. These are their first SCOOP wins.

TUESDAY, MARCH 10

SCOOP TOPS $1.5 BILLION: We knew it was coming, but seeing it written down and official is still quite something. The Spring Championship of Online Poker has surpassed $1.5 billion in total prizes awarded since its inception in 2009, and long may that amount grow.

ALL-TIME SCOOP PRIZES AWARDED: $1,503,455,766 (as of Tuesday, March 10)

KING TIES BRUSCHI ON FOUR: Another night, another title for “king153246”. The mysterious Albanian just can’t be stopped, but that was literally true in the $109 PKO Sunday Warm Up for $19,968 plus $15,755 in bounties. King is now tied on four titles for the series (alongside Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi). They have six SCOOP wins overall.

PATRICK LEONARD

Number 12 for Leonard

TWO IN TWO FOR LEONARD: One of the most prolific and consistent grinders throughout any big PokerStars series, it’s no surprise to hear Patrick “pads1161” Leonard has gone back-to-back, winning two titles in consecutive nights. The Brit’s second of the year (and 12th overall) came in the $1K PLO8 (#41-H), where he outlasted 86 entries and picked up $20,551. Leonard is now joint-third all-time on the Most SCOOP titles list, alongside Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser.

BRAVO, PARDO: We told you, didn’t we? We told you that when Juan “Malaka$tyle” Pardo took down the SCOOP Warm-Up Main Event for $57,427 before this series started, he was poised to add to his trophy collection. Now he’s done it, winning the $1K 6-Max for $35,104, besting 176 entries. The Spaniard–now based in Andorra–has seven SCOOPs for his career.

MONDAY, MARCH 9

That’s the first full weekend of SCOOP 2026 in the books, and boy, was it a big one. There was plenty of moving and shaking, so let’s get down to business.

BRILLIANT BRUSCHI: Since our last update on Thursday (March 5), Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi has taken down three more SCOOP titles, taking his career total up to ten. Having already won event #14-H (scroll down for details), he then picked up the first of the weekend in the $1K 8-Game (#33-H) for $16,903, followed by the $530 6-Max PKO for $17,308 total. But the Brazilian saved the best until last, topping an elite 63-entry field in the $5K Titans (#42-H) to bank $77,506. He is now tied with Kelvin “Kelvin_FP:AR” Kerber as the two Brazilian players with the most SCOOP titles (10).

SECOND ALL-TIME FOR SKVORTSKOV: Andre “Premove” Skvortsov is now just one win away from tying Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson at the top of the Most SCOOP Titles list. The Russian, now based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, not only won two titles but both came in the same event: #22 NLO8. Skvortsov won both the $109 Medium and $1K High for $7,356 and $22,287, respectively. He now has 13 SCOOP titles and stands alone in second place.

HAT TRICK FOR KING153246: Bruschi isn’t the only triple champ. Albanian crusher “king153246” picked up a hat trick of their own, besting 295 entries in the $109 8-Game (#33-M) for $5,614.

LEONARD BREAKS THROUGH: After two runner-up finishes, Patrick “pads1161” Leonard has clinched his 11th title late on Sunday, winning the $530 6-Max Hyper Sunday Supersonic for $20,396.

Thursday, March 5

ODEEN TIES FOR THIRD ALL-TIME: Sweden’s Jerry “Perrymejsen” Odeen picked up his 11th career title on Wednesday, topping the $109 5-Card PLO PKO (#20-M) for $9,068 total. Odeen is now tied with Niklas “Lena900” Astedt and Andre “premove” Skvortsov on 11 wins, trailing only Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson on 14, and Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser on 12.

MULTIPLE CHAMPIONS: Albania’s brightest star ‘king153246’ became the second double champ of the series on Tuesday, taking down the $530 6-Max Turbo PKO (#18-H) for $15,962 total. They’d already won a NLHE title in the $1K 7-Max (#06-H), taking their career total up to four. The only other two-time winner so far this year is Lithuania’s “Eimantasa”, who can boast victories in both the $530 Bounty Builder HR (#09-M) for $29,570 total, and the $1K NLHE PKO (#11-H) for $33,833 total. Those two titles are the first of Eimantasa’s career, so it’s a real breakthrough.

NEYMAR DENIED BY PETERSEN: Daniel “starwins :)” Petersen won his second career SCOOP on Tuesday–and it was a big one. The Dane topped an elite 49-entry field in the $5K PKO (#09-H) and banked $90,337, including a whopping $54,062 in bounties. What will no doubt make the win even more special for Petersen as time goes by is that the great Neymar Jr was also on the final table, finishing third for $23K. Neymar has made two finals so far this series.

renan bruschi

BRUSCHI AND ELGSTROM MAKE IT SEVEN: Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi had a series to remember in 2025, winning four titles and enjoying countless other deep runs. Those wins took him to six for his career, and he’s already added a seventh in 2026, winning the $530 5-Card Draw PKO (#14-H) for $8,155. Denmark’s Christian “Cmoosepower” Elgstrom is also now a seven-time SCOOP winner, topping the $1K HORSE (#10-H) for $15,366.

QUICKFIRE HEADLINES: Kelvin “Kelvin_FP:AR” Kerber is now a 10-time SCOOP champ, winning the $1K PLO (#16-H) for $24,729. At the same time, Tom “Jabracada” Hall was taking down the $11 Low edition for $2,986 and his maiden SCOOP win. Finally, Vlad “dariepoker” Darie now has four SCOOPs for his career. The latest came in the $1K Super Tuesday (#15-M), where Darie saw off a 192-entry field to bank $39,676.

Tuesday, March 3

RAYMOND DENIES NEYMAR, MATEOS, MATTSSON: Alexandre “aminolast” Raymond kicked his series off in style–not only winning the first event, but topping a star-studded final table. The Canadian overcame 240 entries in the $530 Kickoff (#02-H) to bank $23,075, and had to see off the likes of soccer superstar Neymar Jr, Adrian “Amadi_017” Mateos, Pavel “silentm0de” Plesuv, and the SCOOP GOAT, Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson. This is Raymond’s third SCOOP title, and third in consecutive years.

KING OF THE CASTLE: It didn’t take long for Albanian crusher “king153246” to top the SCOOP 2026 High Leader Board. A perennial performer in any big series, King took down the 97-entry $1K NLHE 7-Max (#06-H) for $26,250, besting an elite field and a final that included runner-up “CatfishBillyMan”, Mikita “fish2013” Badziakouski, and Renan “Internett930” Bruschi.

The always brilliant Benny Glaser

One of the very best, Benny Glaser

GLASER WINS TITLE #12: The UK’s Benny “RunGodlike” Glaser was already the most decorated player in COOP history heading into this series, but added to his tally by picking up a 12th SCOOP title on Monday. Glaser, who also has a record-leading 16 WCOOPs, took down the $320 Fenomeno turbo (#12-H) for $16,626. He’s now just two titles behind the all-time SCOOP leader, the aforementioned Mattsson, who has 14 titles.

NEW MARCH DATES

SCOOP 2026 save the date

When you really think about it, March turns out to be a better month for online poker than May.

For starters, the weather in March is generally worse, making staying inside a pleasure. Fewer major sporting events are going on, thus fewer distractions. Plus, it doesn’t clash with any other major poker festivals.

March 1st is also the official start of Spring. Enough said.

The iconic Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) is back in 2026, only this time it is springing forward and will take place during March, bringing the world-class festival forward from prior years.

So get these dates in your diary:

MARCH 1-25, 2026

SCOOP remains one of the most anticipated moments in the global poker calendar. Players can expect the same premium multi-tiered schedule, high-stakes drama, and standout events that have defined SCOOP for over 15 years, all landing earlier to give players a fresh start to 2026.

The date change is part of PokerStars’ ongoing approach to optimising player experience. To put it simply, there was an opportunity to bring SCOOP 2026 forward and give players an improved SCOOP experience, so PokerStars took it.

SCOOP 2026 FAQs

Why is SCOOP taking place earlier this year?

keyboard_arrow_down

We regularly review our global events calendar to make sure our major series land at the best possible time for players. We saw an opportunity to bring SCOOP forward and start the year with a stronger, clearer run of events.

Has anything major changed with SCOOP because of the new dates?

keyboard_arrow_down

No, players can expect the same high-quality festival they look forward to every year. The new dates simply allow us to optimise timing. The structure, variety, and prestige of SCOOP remain the same.

Will the earlier dates affect prize pools or guarantees?

keyboard_arrow_down

As always, SCOOP will deliver a top-tier, highly competitive series with significant opportunities across all buy-ins.

Is this the new permanent timing for SCOOP going forward?

keyboard_arrow_down

We’ll continue to review timing each year as part of our wider events planning. For 2026, we’re excited to deliver SCOOP to players earlier than ever.

Will this impact other PokerStars series?

keyboard_arrow_down

PokerStars’ broader 2026 events calendar remains strong. Adjusting SCOOP’s timing helps us create a more streamlined sequence of events across the year.

WHAT HAPPENED IN 2025?

SCOOP 2025 was a sensational series, and we expect 2026 to be just as exciting, if not more so.

We saw seismic shifts on SCOOP’s all-time title list, with Simon “C. Darwin2” Mattsson cementing himself as the Spring Championship’s GOAT. The Swede won five titles this year, taking his total tally up to 14 (and with multiple runner-up finishes, it could have been a lot more).

Simon Mattsson

Simon Mattsson is SCOOP’s greatest player

Two players won four titles this year, including Renan “Internett93o” Bruschi. Parker “tonkaaaa” Talbot added two trophies to his collection, taking him to three for his career. PokerStars Ambassador Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber binked a maiden SCOOP title too.

Brazil outdid itself once again, smashing its previous series record of 89 titles (2023) to finish with 101 titles overall.

We saw plenty of notable names pick up titles over the weekend, including our very own Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber, who took down the $22 NLHE [Progressive KO, Stackosaurus] (#60-L) for $15.743, including bounties. Huber becomes the second PokerStars Ambassador to pick up a win during the series, following Marle “MarlzTV” Spragg’s victory in the $530 Bounty Builder last week.

Jack Hardcastle

Other standouts include Jack “JBHInfinity” Hardcastle, who took down a $530 Bounty Builder of his own (#61-H) for $22.852 total, as well as Andrey “Anjeyyy” Novak and “Niv-Mizzet D”.

The first weekend of the Warm Up Series wrapped up on Monday, and it was a big one.

The $109 Sunday Special PKO (#04-L) smashed its half-a-million guarantee, with 6,635 entries creating a $663,500 prize pool. Brazil’s “brazil5card” topped the lot and picked up $58,742 total, the biggest of Brazil’s five wins so far.

It’s the UK that currently leads the countries leaderboard, having picked up six titles over the opening two days. The most notable of which went to Jamie Dwan (“jamiedwan21”), who took down the $1K Monday High Roller (#09-H) for $21,611.

The biggest score of the series so far went to Mongolia’s “ezmng”, who overcame an unbelievably tough 40-entry field in the $5K Titans (#05-H) for $73,348.
